Chromin Maastricht BV

Your solution partner for wear and corrosion problems.

Chromin Maastricht BV offers its clients a range of solutions for problems associated with wear and tear and corrosion. The various treatments offered greatly increase the resistance of metals to wear and tear as well as corrosion.

Before it was established in 1977, Chromin Maastricht BV was a unit of the Maastrichtse Machinefabriek company named Interchroom. When the company went bankrupt in 1976, Mr Castermans and Mr Middelhuis decided to continue operating the unit as an independent company under the name of Chromin Maastricht BV.

From 1977 to 1982, the new company was located on the Punterweg in Maastricht. In 1982, it moved to its present location at Sleperweg 31 where production was started in a newly built facility. In 1988, production capacity was doubled with the building of a second production hall. In 1995, a third production hall of 350 m² was added, and the material research facilities were greatly expanded. In 2001-2002, renovation and expansion took place of the company offices, archives and sales facilities.

In 2006, a production hall of 650 m² was built to allow for the treatment of larger components.

In 2013, Chromin Maastricht BV is located in a state-of-the-art production facility that uses cutting-edge processes to provide its clients with the solutions they need, such as inchromizing and the latest Plasdia® and Plasmet® spray coating technologies. One thing hasn't changed: we are still a valued and reliable partner for our clients when it comes to solving problems associated with wear and corrosion.

Mr Castermans is presently director and owner of Chromin Maastricht BV.
